A Day at Twist - The Finest Pan-Asian Cuisine Restaurant in Delhi-NCR

In this blog post, I cover Twist, a vibrant Pan-Asian Bistro located in DLF Cyber City, Gurugram.

True to its name, Twist has all the winning elements of a chic Pan-Asian bistro. The menu is carefully designed (courtesy Chef Ashok Nautiyal) with influences from the Chinese, Thai, Japanese, and Indian* cuisines.

The brainchild of restaurateurs, Randip Dhingra and Jasmeet Kochhar (the name behind Avalon Courtyard), Twist is spread over 4,400 square feet of covered area with a seating capacity of nearly 120 people.

Crafted with enormous love and passion, Twist surprises you from the word go! On the one hand, expect a unique mix of classic recipes from every nook and corner of Asia, but on the other hand, explore new chef-inspired creations made with regional spices and seasonings plus a great variety of flavors, textures, and fresh ingredients.

Twist - Interiors

Since its inception in August 2016, all dishes at Twist are prepared according to the 'small plate' concept. As individual portions are only served, it is recommended to order at least two to three dishes per person.

My Recommendations

First Course (Non-Veg)

Shrimp with a Twist
Japanese flour coated shrimp in spicy mayo. The soft, succulent shrimp was cooked to perfection!

Noodles

Hong Kong Noodles
These pan-fried noodles were a little crispy and saucy, making them much yummier than I'd anticipated.

Rice

Burnt Garlic
Enjoy the delicious Burnt Garlic Rice on its own. To lend an exciting touch to the perfectly cooked Chinese rice, a garnish of spring onions and fried garlic is added along with green chilies, crunchy vegetables, and soya sauce.

Another highlight at Twist is a fine bar with distinctive, sinful, and seasonally inspired cocktail menu and a wine cellar with select labels from Italy, handpicked by a sommelier in Europe.

Signature Bar at Twist

The signature bar has a lot to offer, whether you are looking for an Old Fashioned or a Martini. My favorite cocktail was the Wild Herb Guava, a Vodka infused drink containing jalapeños, mint, and coriander.

The owners have gone out of their way to ensure that Twist offers awesome food and beverages at great prices. The restaurant offers various 'daily deals' to keep its patrons coming back for more. Join in on a Wednesday to enjoy a fantastic Japanese meal from a guest chef or drop by for a lazy Sunday brunch or a sundowner. Sink your teeth in some hot and tender dimsums or simply enjoy the specially curated executive lunch. Twist is bound to offer huge bang for your buck!

Wine Cellar

The modern interiors at Twist are expressive, minimalist, contemporary, and memorable, going far beyond the stereotypical decor that you'd see nowadays in many upscale restaurants. Replete with abstract paintings and photography, Twist wows with its immaculate design and creativity.

Twist - Decor

My quest for the finest Pan-Asian cuisine restaurant in Delhi-NCR finally ended, quite literally, with a Twist!
