Dimsumbros - Authentic Chinese Cuisine At Its Best

I have always been experimental with the Chinese cuisine. Whenever I visit a local fine-dining property that claims to serve authentic Chinese food, the first thing I do is to look at their menu selection, since most of what is being offered in the name of Chinese food these days isn't quite Chinese after all!

Luckily I stumbled upon a Chinese fine-dining and lounge called Dimsumbros - in the heart of Gurgaon - that comes close to offering authentic Chinese cuisine; the kind of food I relished in mainland China a few years ago*.

* [FYI, I studied in Shenzhen for a while. It was here only that I developed a thing for authentic Chinese cuisine.]

The Dimsumbros franchise is owned by Karan Tomar and managed by three partners - Ajay Saini, Ashish Singh Kapoor, and Joydeep Singh. Located at the third level of the upscale Ambience Mall in Gurgaon, Dimsumbros can easily accommodate up to 84 people at any given point in time. The cover area of 250 square yard is sufficient to draw you in.

The entire staff of 33 people is Indian, apart from one: head chef, Chee Soon Hoong, who hails from Ipoh, one of the largest cities in Malaysia. Chee Soon has been associated with the brand since its opening way back in 2010. He is also the man behind the growing popularity and success of Dimsumbros.

At the start of this year, Dimsumbros introduced a four course meal option for patrons that include the choicest options of unlimited dimsums, soup of the day, main course, and desserts - at a price that won't burn a hole in your pocket.

Chee Soon also introduced a new menu that includes signature dishes like prawn and bacon in tangy garlic sauce.

The words 'chimi' and 'changa' come from two Mexican-Spanish terms that mean 'burned' and 'unexpected', respectively. With a standard burrito-style wrapping method, these deep fried vegetarian rolls are stuffed with cheese and veggies, making for an excellent appetizer.
