Embark On A Culinary Journey Of Your Lifetime Courtesy Unplugged Courtyard Gurgaon

In this blog post, I cover the new Unplugged Courtyard Gurgaon.

I have been meaning to visit the Unplugged Courtyard Gurgaon for some time now. It seems like everyone I know on my social media feed has been there at least once if not more ... and for some quaint reason, I haven't.

But then patience has its own virtue ... not only was I invited to review the property last week but I was also asked to let my opinions know about their menu and service.

For starters, the property is massive. A property tour alone took me a good 20 minutes to complete and on a busy day, it can take you even more.

The brainchild of Dinesh Arora - who is the Chief Managing Director at Eastman Colour Restaurants - Unplugged Courtyard Gurgaon is much bigger in terms of its covered area, more so if you were to compare it to its predecessor Unplugged Courtyard Connaught Place.

With a covered area of 15,000 square feet spanning two levels, this is Dinesh's biggest property by far. Although comparisons are unwarranted, with this outlet specifically Dinesh hopes to cater to the 3 Lakh young corporate crowd located within the proximity of the restaurant.

Located right in the heart of Gurgaon's Udyog Vihar Phase II, with a capacity of nearly 375 covers, the restaurant boasts a terrace area, a secret garden, and a quirky bus. I love the private cabanas and if I had to choose my favorite spot here, that's the one clearly! The unmistakably laidback space creates just the right vibe to set the tone for the evening.

With the weather opening up with each passing day, alfresco seating at the Unplugged Courtyard will continue to attract even more eyeballs. Exuding charm and grace, the space is welcoming yet so utterly intimate.

The menu comprises an interesting mix of traditional traveler's fare and new-age cooking, made from the finest ingredients and curated to create the most enjoyable taste.

The aesthetically designed cocktail bar offers trendy cocktails that taste fabulous and are affordable at the same time.

What I love about their bar menu is that it's both enticing as well as indulgent. Savor the first-rate cocktails or start with your favorite glass of wine early evening right through the night.

Corporate Chef Akshay Bhardwaj is no stranger to the world of culinary perfection. At Unplugged, he shares his exceptional take on modern-day comfort food, combining ingredients that marry the chef's progressive approach towards world cuisine.

Akshay specializes in European cuisine, though over the years he has been clever to sculpt a place for himself in inventive western and Pan Asian food, which centers on freshness and the use of indigenous ingredients.

His dishes elicit the real flavors of every natural element. Laal Maas Ki Lahori Seekh, for instance, marries mutton mince with Rajasthan spices; served with walnut Labneh, this is an addictive blend of Indian and Middle Eastern influences.

Nothing encompasses South East Asia more than the distinctively delicious Thai Basil Chicken and the flavor explosion that is the Khow Suey topped with fried onion and garlic.

One of the chef's favorite is the Bhuna Gosht with Saffron Parantha. A fresh rendition, it makes for a perfect bite, with marinated onions, providing a satisfying contrast to the flavor and texture of the meat.

Every diner needs a Biryani and Unplugged Courtyard Gurgaon offers one of the best in the city with its special Biryani section.

Desserts like the French toast with ice cream in a rich banana cake and Churros with chocolate sauce promise potent doses of decadent comfort.

The crockery is cheerfully done and perfectly complements the honest wholesomeness of food and drinks.

The music is buzzy and live, with a unique mix of new yet familiar.

So there ... what are you waiting for? Embark on a culinary journey of your lifetime courtesy Unplugged Courtyard Gurgaon.
